Privacy Policy

Last updated: 11 August 2026

This policy is a general-purpose template intended to give players a clear, accurate description of how Letraflux handles data. It is provided for informational purposes and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified solicitor. Anna should have this reviewed by a legal professional before the app collects real user data or handles payments, particularly to confirm it meets current UK GDPR / EU GDPR obligations for her specific setup.

This policy explains what information Letraflux ("the game", "we", "us") collects when you play, why, and what choices you have. Letraflux is a word-chain game available as a website and, where noted, as an Android app distributed through Google Play.

1. Information we collect

Information stored only on your device: your streak count, best scores, and game preferences are saved locally on your device (using browser local storage or equivalent). We do not receive or store this information on our own servers, and it is not tied to your identity.

Information collected automatically: like most websites and apps, our advertising and analytics providers may automatically collect general technical information such as device type, browser type, approximate location (derived from IP address), and how you interact with ads or pages. This is described further in the Advertising and Analytics sections below.

Information you provide: if you use "Play a Friend" mode and enter player names, those names stay on your device and are never transmitted to us or any third party.

We do not require an account, login, email address, or any personal contact details to play Letraflux.

2. Advertising

Letraflux may display ads served through Google AdSense / Google's H5 Games Ads program, and, within the Android app, Google's advertising services accessed via Google Play. These services may use cookies, device identifiers, or similar technologies to serve ads, including personalized ads based on your activity, and to measure ad performance.

Google acts as an independent controller/processor of this data under its own privacy policy. You can learn more about how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Where required (including for users in the UK, EEA, and Switzerland), we use Google's consent management tools to ask for your permission before showing personalized ads, and you can change your ad preferences at any time through that consent tool or through Google Ads Settings.

3. Analytics

We may use a privacy-focused analytics service to understand overall usage patterns (for example, which game modes are popular), so we can improve Letraflux. [Analytics provider name to be confirmed] is used for this purpose. Where the analytics tool we use does not rely on cookies or personal data, no consent banner is required for it; if this changes, this policy will be updated accordingly.

4. In-app purchases

If you make a purchase within the Android app (such as removing ads or unlocking themes), that transaction is handled entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive, see, or store your payment card details — Google processes the payment under its own Privacy Policy and Play Terms of Service.

5. Children's privacy

Letraflux is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the relevant minimum age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us using the details below so we can address it.

6. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We only share information with the third-party service providers described in this policy (currently Google, for advertising, analytics, and payment processing), to the extent needed for them to provide those services.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data (for example, under UK GDPR, EU GDPR, or California's CCPA). Because Letraflux itself does not hold an identifiable profile of you on our servers, most such requests will need to be directed to Google as the data processor for ads and analytics, via the links above. You're welcome to contact us as well and we'll help point you in the right direction.

8. International data transfers

Our third-party providers (currently Google) may process data on servers located outside your country, including in the United States. These providers maintain their own legal safeguards for such transfers, as described in their respective privacy policies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example as our advertising or analytics providers change. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of Letraflux after changes means you accept the updated policy.

10. Limitation of liability

Letraflux is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all liability for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of Letraflux or from the data-processing activities of the third-party services described in this policy. Nothing in this policy excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so (for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law).
